Evaluation in Environmental Planning (1980) by Donald M. McAllister – MIT Press
From Crappy Old Books – for when you want insight and the musty whiff of academic doom.

Long before “sustainability” became a corporate buzzword, Donald M. McAllister was quietly laying out a rigorous, methodical approach to weighing environmental decisions in all their messy complexity. Evaluation in Environmental Planning (1980) is a serious work for serious people—packed with models, matrices, and enough rational analysis to make your brain ache (in a good way). It’s the kind of book planners, policy wonks, and eco-warriors once passed around like contraband.

Our copy? It’s seen a few rainclouds and probably lived in a filing cabinet next to an empty box of Letraset sheets. But the content? As relevant as ever—especially if you’re into land use, ethics, or just need something heavy to flatten an unruly EIA report.

Crappy Old Books – Because knowledge ages better than the paper it’s printed on.

this book is like new and has been kept in a plastic outer cover since bought. However, it is possible that it was not shelved correctly as the front and back covers now have a slight spray to them, but that could be resolved by subsequent proper shelving, ie when all books meet the back of the shelf, and they are not stored flush along the spines.
